Sensei Ryan Houser Karate Instructor & Founder of Online Shotokan Karate Academy
Sensei Ryan is a certified Shotokan Karate instructor as well as a founder of the Online Shotokan Karate Academy. With a Nidan (2nd-degree black belt) in Shotokan Karate, he brings years of martial arts experience to students around the world through accessible online karate classes.
In addition to his expertise in traditional Shotokan karate training, Sensei Ryan has cross-trained in freestyle karate and jiu-jitsu, Kobuto (bo staff) and has a deep passion for karate competitions and modern training methods. His teaching blends classic techniques with dynamic, practical applications.
Sensei Ryan is a recognized black belt with several respected organizations, including the Funakoshi Shotokan Karate Association (FSKA), the International Independent Martial Artists Association (IIMAA), and the Shotokan Karate-Do International Association (SKDIA). Since 2024, he has proudly served as an affiliate instructor with FSKA, providing expert guidance to students both in-person and online.
